Logodag Early Melnik 55 - 2021 (750ml)

Made from a local grape variety called Melnik 55, grown in the north Macedonia region of Bulgaria.  It was aged for 10 months in small oak barrels and offers dark, bitter-sweet plum and mulberry fruit aromas combined with some vanilla and a hint of baking spice from the time in barrel.  The mouthfeel is both savory with a hint of nuttiness and fine-grained tannin, a touch of mild sweetness to balance things out.  This is a great choice for meaty dishes and for folks who like a hearty red wine with too dry a finish.
